We are delighted to announce that Gary Auld has joined the team at the Duncombe Arms as our new head chef.

Gary brings with him a wealth of experience having worked previously as head chef of Purdey’s restaurant on the Langdale Estate in the Lake District, Gilpin Lodge and East Lodge at Rowsley.  Gary and the team will continue to put more emphasis on great local produce and fantastic British dishes.

Gary is committed to providing our customers with a delicious range of dishes using only high quality ingredients, locally sourced where possible, the team have been working hard on our new menu.

We offer a lunch menu where you’ll find many of your favourite dishes as well as a few with that special Duncombe twist. At lunch time we also offer an excellent set menu.

There’s also a full evening menu featuring superbly creative and delicious cuisine that will delight the palate and have you eagerly anticipating your next visit. 

We now have a special children's available every lunch and evening.
