Garden Cottage is situated in the beautiful grounds of the Wootton Estate, close to the village of Wootton in Staffordshire. The village is located about one and a half miles off the B5030 Uttoxeter to Ashbourne Road approximately 20 miles east of Stoke-on-Trent (Junction 14 or 15 of the M6) and 20 miles north-west of Derby (Junction 24 of the M1). Coming from the M1, at Junction 24A take the A50 for Alton Towers and Stoke-on-Trent. Once in Uttoxeter, continue to follow signs for Alton Towers. Follow the B5030 into the village of Ellastone where you will pass The Duncombe Arms pub on your right. Take the next left, signed Wootton (sharp right-hand bend). As you leave the village of Ellastone you will pass black and white speed signs, 200 yards after these on the right-hand side you will come to the gates and Lodge Cottage (if you arrive in darkness you will see a reflector light on the verge). Go through the stone gates and follow the drive, which will take you through a field, and you will see Garden Cottage on your left. Follow the drive onto the gravelled entrance and take the first left, then left again to arrive at the cottage. Or, coming from the M6, leave at Junction 14, 15 or 16. Follow directions for the A50 Alton Towers and Uttoxeter, then once in Uttoxeter follow the directions as detailed above.
