We absolutely adored our stay, start to finish. A perfect way to spend a couple of nights away from the hustle and bustle of city life! The setting of the cottage is just beautiful, a long private driveway taking you to a secluded private cottage, with plenty of parking and views to die for. The interior décor of the cottage is quintessentially British! Each room has been decorated to an exceptionally high standard! The lounge has a very homely feel and the fire really sets the ambience (logs are provided). There is a large dining room adjacent to the spacious kitchen which we enjoyed cooking dinner in. We did visit the local Duncombe Arms and loved it there! We definitely recommend booking a table prior to your visit as it a very popular gastro pub, some dishes are to die for with top service. The bedrooms were very comfortable and clean, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back in the summer months so we can take advantage of the outdoor seating and BBQ! Thank you! The kids and I had a wonderful time in the Garden Cottage. Peace and quiet for me and a place to explore each day for the kids. Thank you, we will most definitely return! Dawn and family
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay to celebrate our grandma’s 90th birthday. The location was beautiful and the house is wonderfully decorated with great furnishing. We will highly recommend. Personal touches were highly appreciated and helped make the weekend as special as it was. Many thanks, Jonathan and Lauren (Vancover, Canada) 2015.
